The gilded version: Recycled sterling silver with a premium 14k gold plating.
Sterling silver can oxidize over time in air and turn black. It can easily be cleaned again with warm water and a little soap, a soft cloth or toothbrush, or with various silver cleaning agents. It's best if you always wear the good piece, the touch keeps it nice and silver.
The gold-plated version: The high-quality galvanic gilding encases this sterling silver gem with a fine layer of gold. Over time, this gold layer can rub off, then silver shimmers through. Therefore, ideally, remove the piece of jewelry during sports or manual work to protect it from manual impacts. – I would be happy to gild the chain if required for a fee.
The blackened silver chain: The 14k gold heart hangs on a blackened silver chain. Over time, rubbing against clothing and skin can cause the black to fade and the silver to shine through. I'd be happy to blacken your necklace again in the studio at any time, free of charge.
