Sterling silver can tarnish and turn black over time when exposed to air. It can be cleaned using warm water, a little soap, and a cloth or soft toothbrush, or by using various silver polishes. Alternatively, simply wear the piece regularly; the contact keeps the silver looking bright and beautiful. Tip: Store in the jewelry box and  not in the bathroom, high humidity promotes oxidation. Upon request, I can remove the patina from this beautiful piece for a small fee.
