Over time, sterling silver can oxidize in air and turn black. It can be easily cleaned with warm water, a little soap, a cloth or a soft toothbrush, or with various silver cleaning agents. Or simply wear the good piece always, the touch keeps it beautifully silver.

The gold-plated ring: The high-quality electroplated gold plating covers this sterling silver ring with a fine layer of gold. Over time, this gold layer can wear off and silver will shine through. Ideally, you should remove the piece of jewelry when doing sports or manual work to protect it from manual blows. – I would be happy to re-gilt the ring if necessary for a small fee.

The gold ring: Gold is a very easy-care material; if you don't go into a sulfur bath, you'll enjoy it forever. If the shine becomes less shiny over time, please come by and I'll polish it up for you free of charge so that it shines again!
